Thanuja Puttaswamy started her career as an actress in 2013 with the Kannada horror film 6-5=2. The film opened to a positive review and got critically acclaimed for its plot. In 2014, Thanuja took up the role of the female lead in the Kannada movie Dhande boys. Thanuja stepped into the small screen with the Zee Telugu’s daily soap Andala Rakshasi. Following Andala Rakshasi, in 2014, Thanuja landed in to play the female lead role in the show Muddha Mandaram in Zee Telugu. For her portrayal as Parvati, Thanuja won Favourite heroine, Evergreen couple, and Zee Telugu Tharachandrulu in Zee Kutumbam Awards in 2018 and 2019.
