Purple and Red Colour-Block with Vertical Gold Zari Embroidery Choli

The lehenga blouse is the most visually spectacular and technically intricate element of the entire ensemble. It features a striking colour-blocked design that divides the bodice into two panels — a deep royal purple upper section and a rich crimson red lower section — both panels covered from top to bottom in dense vertical gold zari stripe embroidery. The embroidery is worked in fine gold thread arranged in column-like vertical stripes, each stripe featuring alternating floral and foliate motifs — creating a surface that is simultaneously structured and intricate, with a texture that catches the light with a brilliant, shimmering warmth. The sweetheart neckline is finished with a rich gold embroidery border, and the short cap sleeves feature dense zari and coloured thread embroidery.

Dusty Rose Tissue Silk with Gold Butti Lehenga Skirt

The lehenga skirt is a beautifully restrained counterpoint to the intensely embellished blouse above it. Crafted in a dusty rose / antique mauve tissue silk fabric with a fine horizontal stripe texture running through the weave, the skirt has a characteristic tissue silk luminosity — a subtle, shimmering quality that photographs with warmth and depth in natural light. Scattered across the fabric in a regular pattern are small gold coin butti motifs — individually woven floral medallions that add a delicate, traditional richness without overwhelming the understated palette of the skirt.

Rose Organza with Gold Embroidered Border Dupatta

Completing the lehenga is a breezy rose-toned organza dupatta that matches the skirt’s dusty rose palette in a slightly warmer, more transparent tone. The dupatta is scattered with the same small gold butti motifs as the skirt, creating a beautifully cohesive print story across the two pieces.

For jewellery, Shalini chose a pair of small gold and pearl jhumka drop earrings — classic, traditionally appropriate, and perfectly scaled so as not to compete with the magnificent embroidery of the blouse. A delicate silver bracelet on her wrist added a subtle, contemporary metallic note. Her hair was styled in soft, side-swept wavy curls — loose, naturally voluminous, and falling beautifully over her shoulders in the outdoor setting of the event.

Sing Geetham — Pre-Release Celebrations Ahead of June 11th

The pre-release event of Sing Geetham was one of the most eagerly anticipated promotional milestones for the film — a landmark Telugu musical directed by the legendary Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, produced with the vision of Nag Ashwin, and set to the music of Devi Sri Prasad. Set in the fictional village of Kuberapuram where people communicate entirely through song, the film stars Ayaan and Ahilya Bamroo in the lead roles, with Shalini Kondepudi playing a key villain character. The pre-release event generated considerable excitement, with the cast’s appearances — and particularly Shalini’s stunning lehenga look — generating strong social media traction ahead of the June 11th release.
