Krithi Shetty has played Natural Star Nani’s love interest in Shyam Singha Roy, which was released in theatres on December 24, 2021. Krithi says “My character in Shyam Singha Roy is the daughter of a single parent, she behaves in a boyish way. Doing the smoking scene was challenging. I requested the director to reconsider the scene. Rahul told me I just have to play the character. They bought me a herbal cigarette and I somehow pulled it off after practising it for three days.”

Speaking about the bold scenes in the movie she says, “They are seen in a negative light by many. But it’s all about being professional. Even in an action scene, you are merely giving a performance. Bold scenes are no different. The bedroom scene in ‘SSR’ is there for the sake of the story in the sense it connects to the character Rosy.”
