Samantha Ruth Prabhu stepped out in a radiant festive look for the Maa Inti Bangaaram Thank You Meet — a celebratory event held to express gratitude to audiences for making the film a massive box office success. The actress, who is riding high on the film’s blockbuster performance, looked every bit the triumphant star, her infectious laugh and glowing pink saree perfectly matching the celebratory mood of the evening.
For the Thank You Meet, Samantha chose a stunning fuchsia-pink silk saree featuring a deep navy-teal woven border with a traditional gold thread motif running along the edges and pallu — a colour contrast that is distinctly rooted in the Kanjivaram and Linen silk saree aesthetic popular in South India. The saree was draped in a classic style, with the silk’s natural lustre giving it a rich, ceremonial quality perfect for a celebratory post-release event.
The styling masterstroke of this look was the periwinkle blue contrast blouse — a short-sleeve piece in a subtle self-woven fabric that created a striking pop of contrast against the hot pink saree. Blue and pink co-ordinated saree-blouse combinations have been trending strongly in South Indian ethnic fashion this season, and Samantha’s version felt both traditional and fashion-forward at the same time.
Samantha accessorized with a layered silver oxidized choker necklace featuring turquoise and red stone accents, paired with small silver stud earrings. A slim gold chain bracelet and a simple ring rounded out the look. She wore her hair in her now-signature voluminous loose waves, swept to one side, giving the look an effortlessly glamorous quality.
“Maa Inti Bangaaram” is directed by B.V. Nandini Reddy — one of Tollywood’s most celebrated female directors, known for Ala Modalaindi and Oh Baby — and stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead alongside Diganth Manchale, Gauthami, and Srinivas Gavireddy, with music composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The story follows a woman with a hidden past struggling to find acceptance in a traditional household, who must protect the very family that doubts her when danger from her former life resurfaces. Released on June 19, 2026, the film has emerged as one of the biggest box office success stories of the year. After opening to around ₹13 crore gross worldwide, the action comedy witnessed solid holds to push its opening weekend collection to around ₹42 crore worldwide, making it a blockbuster at the box office. The movie performed best in its home turf, with Nizam alone contributing ₹12.25 crore, while Karnataka added ₹4.50 crore to the tally. In North America, Maa Inti Bangaaram became one of the fastest Telugu films of the year to surpass the $1 million milestone within its opening weekend, showcasing Samantha’s star power among the Indian diaspora. The strongest support has come from women audiences, with female viewers across Telugu states and overseas embracing the film wholeheartedly, seeing Samantha as someone who has faced personal and professional challenges publicly while continuing to move forward.
