‘Cauliflower’ stars Sampoornesh Babu as the protagonist. Directed by RK Malineni, the film will be released in theatres on November 26. This is my Telugu debut. I am so happy to have got to work with this wonderful team. I hail from Bengaluru, where I started my career five years ago. For two years, I was a model. I have done a couple of movies in Kannada. I wanted to become an Aeronautical Engineer once. But it didn’t work out.

This offer came my way randomly. Producer Asha Jyoti Gogineni liked my profile, while the director liked my performance in the audition. I come from a village in the movie. Yet, she is posh. Neelaveni is her name. She teases her ‘bava’ and is always energetic and naughty. The movie was shot in Palakollu.

The character was tailor-made for me. It’s a girl-next-door character where I wear a half-saree.

Thanks to working with Sampoornesh Babu and other seniors, I got to learn a lot. They didn’t make me feel that I am a newcomer. The hero has got two variations in the film. He is also a Britisher. In the other role, he is my ‘bava’. I enjoyed myself playing my dream character.

When I heard the title, I was in splits. It is, after all, the name of a vegetable. But the title will make sense when you watch the movie. Cauliflower has a place in the story. It’s an out-and-out comedy entertainer with suspense and also a message.

Director RK Malineni is a sernior TV serial director. He is so skilled and I feel so happy to have got to work with a senior maker like him. Prajwal Krish has composed the music. There is a pub song, a hero-intro song, and a dream song featuring me.

I have got combination scenes with the likes of Posani, Mukku Avinash and Rohini, besides the hero. The shooting experience was superb for the 19 days that we shot at Ramoji Film City.

I have got two projects in hand. Recently, a project came my way from Maruthi garu’s team. I am one of the lead actors in a movie starring Aadhi Sai Kumar. It’s my dream to work with Nani garu. More than from Sandalwood, I am getting offers from Tollywood.
