Yashika Aannand made her acting debut after gaining popularity among the public as a model on Instagram. At 14, she first shot for the film Inimey Ippadithan alongside Santhanam but her role was later deleted after she could not attend a song shoot. She later portrayed a one scene role as a swimming instructor in Kavalai Vendam. She started working in advertisements and video songs when she was studying at her school. She completed her schooling from Sherwood Hall School, Chennai. She started her film career from a hugely acclaimed movie Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru in 2016. Although she worked in a couple of movies before Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru and all those movies could not get released in the theatres because of some issues. She got fame and popularity among the fans after realising of adult comedy film Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu in 2018 in which she played a role of Kavya. She has worked in a few films which include Kavalai Vendam, Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu, and Padaam.
