Ulka Gupta in Purple Lehenga at the My South Diva 2026 Calendar Launch

The grand unveiling of the My South Diva 9th Edition Calendar for 2026 at Hyderabad’s iconic Ramanaidu Studios was a high-glamour affair, but it was Ulka Gupta who truly stole the spotlight. Known for her transition from a beloved child artist to a versatile leading lady, Ulka made a bold and "tempting" style statement that perfectly showcased her sophisticated, sultry evolution.

For the star-studded event, Ulka donned a royal purple (plum) embroidered lehenga that was a masterclass in seductive elegance. The centerpiece of her look was a sensational sleeveless choli featuring a dangerously deep V-neckline. The plunging cut was designed to accentuate her curves, offering a provocative glimpse of her cleavage that left the onlookers spellbound. The blouse was intricately adorned with shimmering gold and silver cutdana handwork, adding a luxurious texture that sparkled brilliantly under the event’s spotlights.

The matching heavily embroidered lehenga skirt flowed gracefully, featuring a thick, ornate border that added a touch of traditional royalty to her bold silhouette. To complete the look, her hair was styled in loose, voluminous side-swept waves, framing her face and drawing even more attention to the daring neckline of her blouse. Her makeup was kept dewy and radiant, with a subtle smokey eye and a nude-mauve lip that enhanced her natural glow. The 2026 calendar features Ulka as one of the 12 prominent actresses celebrating "style, grace, and contemporary fashion". As she posed for the shutterbugs, her confident and high-octane "glam goddess" persona became the instant highlight of the evening, further solidifying her status as a reigning fashion icon of the South Indian film industry.
