During the event, actress Trisha expressed, “Though I’ve attended many press meets, this one is special as it’s my first for a Malayalam film. I’ve always admired Malayalam cinema for its unique and intelligent storytelling. I’ve wanted to work in at least one Malayalam film a year, and meeting director Akhil at the right time made it possible. His narration was captivating. Tovino is indeed the ‘Lucky Star of Kerala,’ and Vinay has been my friend since our Endrendrum Punnagai days.”

Trisha continued, “Identity is unlike the romantic and friendship-based films I’ve done before. The filming experience was filled with joy and positivity, which I believe translates to the screen. Although predicting a film’s success is challenging, the overwhelming positive reviews and audience response from day one have been heartwarming. Even in Tamil Nadu, the film is doing exceptionally well, and more screens are being added, which makes me even happier. There has always been a strong connection between Tamil and Malayalam cinema, with stars like Mohanlal, Mammootty, and Nivin Pauly maintaining close ties with Tamil cinema. It’s wonderful to see such unity. I’m proud to have been a part of this film and to begin the new year on a successful note.”
