Shraddha Das will next be seen in Arrdham, Written and directed by Manikanth Thellaguti, who has edited several films, besides being VFX supervisor. The gripping psychological thriller, produced by Radhika Srinivas who was one of the producers of movie Natakam.
The PSV Garuda Vega star is especially glad to play the role of a psychologist, the central character, as she holds a degree in the subject.
Shraddha Das says, “In the film, my job is to typically counsel and solve the mystery about various things that are happening. In the process, a group of people end up at a haunted place.” Added that her academic degree in counselling came in handy.
“Since i also have a dress in mass media, mirroring all the traits of a researcher became easy for me,” she said.
Fifty percent of the shoot is over. Producer Radhika Srinivas says, “This is a gripping psychological thriller. We started the shoot on November 7. Since then, we have shot a schedule each in Hyderabad and Chennai. Soon, we are going to shoot action scenes. The director is doing a great job with the execution. He is taking care of the editing department, too. Rakendu Mouli, who penned the dialogues of ‘Khaidi’, is writing the dialogues and songs for our movie. Sunny Austin, Chinna Swamy are the music directors.”
Shraddha Das in Arrdham was one of the first actress to resume shooting when the country entered the unlock phase. “initially i was scared. In fact, I would get angry because staying for long hours without a mas on the sets while shooting was tricky. But slowly I got used to it and started building immunity”, she explains.
Director Manikanth Tellaguti said that the film promotes family values and women’s empowerment. “‘Arrdham’ is a blend of psychological horror thriller and entertainment. Since I have got hands-on experience in VFX, I am taking care of the department. Expect the best production values,” the director added.
