Samikshaa (Apoorva Gowda) is a South Indian Actress who mainly works mainly in Kannada television and film industries. Born on 20 December 1996, she hails from Shivamogga, Karnataka, India. She made her Kannada TV debut in 2016 with ‘Meenakshi Maduve’ which aired on Udaya TV. She also appeared in well known Kannada Serial ‘Subbalakshmi Samsara’ on Zee Kannada. In 2018, she marks her film debut with ‘The Terrorist’ Kannada movie and in 2019 she became popular with the movie ‘99‘ which was the remake of Tamil movie ’96’ starring Trisha. She also did movie ‘Fan‘ starring Aryan Gowda in 2019
Before the small screen, she worked as a model and continues to pursue other interests.“My parents were a little concerned about my career choice. My family is settled in Shivamogga, and they wanted me to continue studies but I was so determined to become an actor. I managed to convince them, eventually. I changed my name from Apoorva Gowda to Samikshaa due to numerology. Though, I did not believe in it, I did it for my parents,” she says.
