Priya Anand stills at Aditya Varma movie audio launch. Adithya Varma is an upcoming Tamil romantic drama film directed by Gireesaaya and produced by Mukesh Mehta under E4 Entertainment. The film stars newcomer Dhruv Vikram and Banita Sandhu in the lead roles while Priya Anand appears in a supporting role. It is a remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy. Arjun Reddy has been remade in bollywood also in the name of Kabir Singh. Arjun Reddy as well as the Hindi remake Kabir Singh were heavily criticised for glorifying toxic masculinity and violence against women. However, the Tamil version appears to be a faithful remake of the original. Considering the box-office success of the previous films, despite their blatant misogyny, this isn’t surprising.
The film will hit the screens on November 8.
