Bengali Actress Megna Mukherjee stills in peach colour lehenga at her Telugu debut movie Barabar Premistha Teaser launch press meet.

Megna Mukherjee is set to make her grand entry into the Telugu film industry with her much-anticipated debut in Baraabar Premistha. The former Femina Miss India state titleholder is stepping into the spotlight alongside Chandrahass, son of renowned actor-turned-director Prabhakar Podakandla. Directed by Rudra and produced by AVR Movie Wonders & CC Creations, the love-action film is backed by producers Geda Chandu, Gayatri Chinni, and Venkateswara Rao. Scheduled for a Dussehra release, expectations are high for this cinematic treat.

With extensive training in jazz dance, Megna is no stranger to performing. She has been a prominent face in advertising campaigns for major brands across India, but it was her viral commercial with cricket legend Sourav Ganguly that highlighted her acting prowess. Now, Baraabar Premistha marks her bold career move into the film industry. Known for her poise and charm, Megna is expected to bring a new vibrancy to Telugu cinema.

Discussing the film, Megna shared, “It’s a refreshing story about two 19-year-olds from rival villages who fall in love. Megna Mukherjee and Chandrahass are joined by an ensemble cast featuring Arjun Mahi, Muralidhar Goud, Rajasekhar Aningi, and others. With a storyline penned by Tirupathi and music composed by RR Dhrivan, the film promises a captivating blend of romance and action. The cinematography is handled by YR Shekhar, with Bonthala Nageshwar Reddy as the editor.
