‘Rajput’, starring Shankar Jadhav as the hero, has gone on the floors. He is also the film’s director. Adhir Abhi is the film’s other hero. Siriraj and Karishma Ram are the heroines.

The film went on the floors on Wednesday in Hyderabad. Its launch event was attended by Telangana Film Chamber’s Chairman Dr. Pathrani Ramakrishna Goud and others. Goud said that the film being made in Banjara (besides Telugu) is a good sign. “I hope it will become a hit like some of the recent movies in Banjara language,” he added.

Shankar Jadhav said, “What our film deals with is the origin of the culture and lifestyles of Banjaras. We have titled the film as ‘Gormaati’ in Banjara language. I am its director besides being its male lead.”

Adhir Abhi said, “I am the film’s second male lead. Shankar Jadhav has come up with a nice concept.”

Producer Rekhya Nayak said, “Our film will propagate the way of life that Banjaras practise. Towards this aim, I have already started a YouTube channel in the past. The regular shoot of ‘Rajput’ will start from September 20. The entire shoot will be completed in two schedules.”

Jabardasth Pawan, Naveen, Jaki and others are part of the cast. Music is by Ghantadi Krishna. Cinematography is by Gopi Kotthooru and Venkat Kolluri.
