There is not much difference between Tollywood and Sandalwood in terms of work environment. The only difference is the language. But promotions are done very well in Telugu. They go ahead with good planning, says heroine Aashika Ranganath. This sandalwood beauty’s acting debut in Telugu industry is ‘Amigos’.
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is the hero of the movie. Naveen Erneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar are producing this film under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers under the direction of Rajendra Reddy. This movie will have a grand release on February 17. On this occasion, heroine Ashika Ranganath spoke to the media separately. She describes her working experience along with how the Amigos film journey began. Ashika Ranganath says…
Why did it take so long for you to enter the Telugu film industry?
The directors and production houses here should be questioned about this. Actually, I got a few offers in Tollywood, but due to a few issues like the allocation of call sheets and Covid. But many keep asking me when I will make my Telugu debut, and I am happy about it.
How did you become part of Amigos?
Actually, the team told me they finalized another heroine. Then my manager said that the team was calling me. Director Rajendra gave a brief of the film’s plot on a phone call. I liked my character, and I found the doppelganger concept of Amigos very interesting.
Can you tell us about your Ishika’s role?
It is a very peculiar character. Every girl will have a dream about how her guy should be. She would have rejected many guys in matchmaking as she doesn’t find the guy with the desired qualities. I have got a proper Telugu heroine role with cute and funny moments.
How important is your role in the film, which will have Kalyan Ram as three doppelgangers?
It is a very important character. Though I don’t consider my role coming all the way throughout the story, I do have an important role, which is connected with the three doppelgangers. Though the screen time is not as much as Kalyan, sir, I do have space to perform.
How is the working experience with Kalyan Ram?
I met Kalyan Ram on the film’s sets. But we didn’t have much conversation after that because we two don’t talk much. But, as days passed, he helped me with my Telugu dialogues. He is very supportive and has a sweet personality. Coming from such a big background, he is very simple and has no head weight.
