Kannadi, which will be released in Tamil and Telugu, is directed by Caarthik Raju, who had earlier made Thirudan Police. It has Sundeep Kishan and Anya Singh in the lead role, with Karunakaran as comedian. Varma cranks the camera while Thaman is the music director.
Anya Singh is an Indian actress who made her debut in Bollywood film Lex Talionis (2016). After making her acting debut as a minor artist, Singh played her first leading role in Habib Faisal’s musical drama film Qaidi Band in 2017, alongside Aadar Jain. Anya Singh said, “I am happy to make by debut in Tamil through Kannadi. The movie is a thriller which will also have romance and comedy.”
