Aakanksha Singh at Shashtipoorthi movie glimpse launch

Aakanksha Singh latest stills in pastel Green Embellished Saree at her upcoming Telugu movie Shashtipoorthi glimpse launch.

The makers Shashtipoorthi unveiled the film’s glimpse on Wednesday (January 8). The teaser features Rajendra Prasad and Archana as a divorced couple. Their son, who is a reputed divorce lawyer, takes a vow to get his parents back together. The cause of the divorce is hinted to be Rajendra Prasad’s corruption as a lawyer. The maker’s promise that the film will be a heart touching drama. Featuring Roopesh and Aakanksha in lead roles, the family drama brings together veteran actors Rajendra Prasad and Archana, marking their first collaboration since the classic comedy, Ladies Tailor which came out 38 years ago.

Directed by Pavan Prabha and produced by Rupesh Chowdary, Shashtipoorthi has music by Ilayaraja with a special song penned by Academy Award winner MM Keeravani.

Speaking during the glimpse launch event Rajendra Prasad said, “When we made Mr. Pellam, families used to flock to cinemas. There would be no parking space even. Shashtipoorthi is one such family-friendly movie. Shashtipoorthi ceremonies are crucial in our culture. Roopesh has played a dual role, as an actor and a producer. He knows his task as a producer. He is committed.”

With the production completed, the team plans to announce the release date soon. Shashtipoorthi’s crew includes costume designer Ayesha Mariam, art director Thota Tharani, and choreographer Swarna Master.
